Carefully use your fingers to break up sections of larger curls for a softer look.

How to style it and make it less frizzy and smoother/silkier:

Before you shampoo and condition, apply fruit juice mixtures onto your hair.

First shampoo and condition your hair very well.

Second use a roller brush and continuosly brush it by splitting your hair into small sections. You can use hair rollers to get fine curls and bangs for a great look.

And apply a smooth shine gel or spray to get rid of the frizz.

my hair is naturally a dark blonde color. some people even mistake it as brown(but its not) and ive always highlighted it light blonde. a year ago i dyed it and it came out awful;a coppery yellowish color. i regreted it big time. i knew if i dyed it again after that it would come out even worse. i decided to try and let my natural hair color grow out.. but when it got about half way i stupidly dyed it blonde again because the 2 different colors looked trashy. it came out about the same ugly color it was before; but now its real dry and damaged %26amp; has lots of split ends. now my natural hair color has grown about 2 inches and it looks really trashy (once again) and totally lowers my confidence. if i went to a salon and asked them to dye my hair my natural hair color(which would be a darker color)would it make my hair break off? or does dying damaged hair darker make it worse?.or do i need to wait a year %26amp; a half for my natural hair to grow out.. which would be my last resort

I would let my hair "rest" for a little while ...

I would go and get my ends trimmed regularly ...then I would do some at home deep conditioning. You can go to Sally's Beauty Supply and get a good "deep" conditioner you can either get it in packs or a jar of it ...i would recommend getting a jar ..and its not really expensive and get a pack of processing caps. Then I would wash my hair then apply a generous amount of conditioner and then put on a processing cap then take a thin damp towel and microwave it for 35-45 seconds and wrap it around your hair. I would leave this on for an hour or longer if you want just remember to keep reheating the towel. Then when you are done rinse really well and at the end of the rinse turn the water to cold and rinse really quick in just cold water. I would do this two or three times a week if time will allow it . Drink lots of water and try to eat healthy and remember to get your hair trimmed and try and let your hair air dry whenever you can and your hair will start to get healthy again. And when your ready you can still use your flat iron and things just remember to do a deep conditioning at least once a week even once your hair gets healthy.....

You can good a good deep conditioning treatment or jar at Sally's and it isn't expensive and make sure you ask the clerk there that it is a color safe product, i feel certain it will be but you never know. I try alot of the home remedies and most of them work.....just be careful if you try them because a few of them did lightened my color ... :(

no darker colors don't contain the chemicals that are more harmful to your hair. i once dies my naturally dark brown hair this blond color and it was like fried then i cut it off and it was all smooth and nice.

dont dye it more. Be patient and just let it grow out. Trim your hair occastionally so the split ends dont occur. Be careful not to dye yyour hair 2 much. The best thing to do is to wait. But if you must, i recomend the less powerful hair dyes you can find at the drugstore. It wont break off, but it will feel itchy and disgusting.

Yeah. my hair is naturally dark and i dyed it blonde. Then i went dark again. I had really unhealthy hair when it was blonde, but going dark makes it a ton healthier. I would use aquage strengthening shampoo and conditioner. It helps alot.

Dye can ONLY lift your hair to a certain level. I would highly recommend going to a salon only because i have come across many situations like this. Some people dye their hair so much it can be just as damaging as bleaching your hair. There are MANY different kinds of hair care products out there for people who bleach their hair a lot. People who go blonde lack proteins in their hair.

anyways, if you color your hair using a box dye now, you can't be gaurenteed the result on the box because box colors are SPECIFICALLY for natural hair, i wish they would list that one the box. for virgin hair only.

And no, i can easily say your hair shouldn't break off if you go darker. When you go darker with your hair, you are actually ADDING to your hair, and not taking away.

be ready to pay some money now they have to do a corrective color which cost more, thats why stylist have license . I dont know why people think they can color or highlights there own hair. if you use blow dryers daily or flat irons on top of all that color yes it will break, Im assuming you didnt have money to go to the hairstylist in the first place so you probably wont have the money to buy quality shampoo and conditioners recommended. keep cutting until you get rid of the old colored hair and only the stylist can say you natural color level.

Coloring your hair is not as damaging as bleach, but it does damage some. The darker you color your hair, the healthier it looks. I would go ahead and color it, then I would get good professional shampoo and conditioner. Make sure your hair dresser gives you a deep conditioner. Also tell your hair dresser to fill in the blonde first, so you don't get that nasty color.

Bleaching (aka making your hair lighter) is always more harmful than darkening. However, dying your hair period is not exactly a great thing. But, I dye my hair alot, so I know what to do and what not to do. I dye my hair darker because I prefer darker hair colors. But, first you need to treat your hair. I would try a deep conditioner like Bumble %26amp; Bumble's deeep conditioner, or any one that is heavy. You need to leave it in for a long time, and after showering, you need to start soaking your hair in leave-in-conditioner. I would do this at least once or twice a week so you're hair will become healthier. Also, try Natural Match hair dyes, because they are much more milder than regular dyes. But, I would cool it on the bleaching for awhile. Otherwise, you'll be wearing wigs when you're older.

I'm sorry to say but you cant fade black with any product. You have two choices: Wait for a few months until your hair grows out and it fades with time; or option B: Bleach your hair then re-dye it whatever color you want. You CANNOT dye over black with any other color other than blonde/bleached.

Actually the only way without going to a proffesional is to just wait it out. My boyfriend had black hair and when he was sick of it we talked to my hairdresser and she said the only way would be to bleach it out. And so he did that and it didnt even come out all the way the first time. Plus his hair turned a sort of orangey brown color. But that can be fixed with brown dye. It takes a while and is very difficult to get rid of black dye.

You just have to be patient and let it fade over time.. both of my parents were hairdressers.. So i know a lot about hair.. anything that you do to your hair with chemical can possibly damage your hair.. You could always go out and buy color remover.. but because it strips the hair of its color it will look like blondish or even Orange so if u take that rounte make sure you buy a box of color and be prepared to re dye it.. While there are products that are at beauty supply stores that work ....some work instantly, and some that take an hour or so.....every head of hair is different, some hair will turn out ok and some will turn out orange/gold.....you have two choices either try this yourself and pray for good results or go to a professional.....even a professional can not tell you what is going to happen she will have to watch this process very closely.....since you also have the high-lights in it you are not going to fade as quickly as someone without high-lights

im 16, and its mid brown, and the ends are abit gingery, i have a big side fringe/ bangs whatever you want to call it! and my hair comes down to about an inch and a half below my shoulders. its naturally kind of wavey, but not in a nice way, and quite fine, and damaged so i worry about straightening it to much. my fringe/bangs always drys funny. so yeah what can i do?!?!

What can i do with my hair?

Wavy hair is high-maintenance. I should know. But here's a few hints.

Don't brush with a normal brush get a 'rake', (similar to comb but not as fine, available everywhere.) Finger-combing is an alternative. Only brush it when it's wet and avoid brushing too often as it will frizz.

Use a moisture rich shampoo and conditioner and also a leave-in conditioner is good.

Wash at night just before bed. You'll have a wet pillow but if you walk around with it wet the added weight makes it straighten out funny. Only wash every two days.

You'll find that the shorter your hair is the more it curls. Also humidity will make it curl more so things like sauna's, heated pools and just rainy weather.

Styling it, always style to set when it's wet. For your fringe, brush it out and away from your forehead while using a cold hairdryer, do not use a hairdryer on most of your hair though. Or you can use a straightener on it and pull away from your head, only use the straightener when your hair is damp.

I think wavy hair looks good in a ponytail but you'll find it's actually more flexible than straight. Fine hair may be harder to style though.

You could try a sort of messy look which is quite in at the moment. I'm not talking like completely scruffy.

When you wash your hair, towel dry it and blow dry it, adding some volume. Get your hair highlighted so that the ends will look better and will give your hair more shine. Use shampoos and conditioners for damaged hair. Try using side ponytails and hairspray to give more volume. Experiment with your fringe. Feather, add a top layer to your hair. If you have small features and a big forhead you could maybe try a block fringe. As for your fringe/bangs, I wouldn't worry about the straightening if you get some protective spray/moose. Try maybe loosely curling your hair. I have the same type of hair as you. Wavy, brown, below my shoulders. I find curling my hair works best with my face shape.

Lastly, if none of that helped. Buy some hair magasines. Experiment with your hair in front of a mirror.

all you need to do is to buy the right hair care products and use them right, you could start having your daily trim to prevent spit ends, you should use conditioner everyday and shampoo (use the ones that matches your hair ex. for dry hair) every other day, remember if you are washing your hair twice a day make sure not to use shampoo again but you may use conditioner.

if you want softer, and more manageable hair may i recommend that you should have a hot oil treatment at least once in 2 months or maybe a hair spa.

if your hair is really frizzy never layer your hair, try to have a straight cut, and use anti-frizz hair products may i recommend "k鑼卹astase" hair products.

I have almost the same problem also, doing these things improved my hair, btw im only 15,.

OK. I don't really know all the answers to this question so I suggest you go to the hair salon and let them help you with products to help your hair. They know what to do!! So make you an appointment. But a good hairstyle with little damage to your hair is scrunching. It look pretty! I wash my hair at night when I go to school but on weekends I usually wash it in the morning. But make an appointment. They can give you tips and stuff like that. Good luck!!
