i have sceneish hair. but iwant the scene hair where its a long, really thin layer underneath, then quite short, choppy layers on top that are thicker, and that they tease up to makereally big. what should i ask for when i go to get it cut and how can i find a hair stylist that knows exactly what i want. please tell me more suggestions than just "take in a picture" becuase i have tried that and they always screw up my hair :/

this is what i want:

1. like this ontop but with the longer layers. see how its like choppy kind of?

just tell them you want layers really short at the top and not to make it shorter just razored. done only with a razor

and then the bangs razored too.

you might want to try going somewhere else.

explain that to her and you're still gonna have to show her pictures. you might even have to change hair dressers, i've had to do that several times, the younger they are the easier it is to get them to cut it how you want. if you don't have the long bottom layer you could request hair extentions.

They have short choppy hair with bangs (razored)

Have the layers about 4-5 inches for a rly choppy look. and the long thin bits are usually extensions

Good question!

Scene Hair : http://scene-hair.blogspot.com/

- I find this website is the best - it has hundreds of photos of scene hair, style tips and a list of things to tell your hairdresser (click on hairstyles down right side of website).

Good luck! :)
