Help!my hair originally was light brown but i dyed it plum (bleh i know), and then it came out reall

so i used Loreal Color fix and then it came out with red and orange at the top and it's just a big mess. My hair's really long and i have to dye over it again to get it anything CLOSE to normal but i just want to know if it will ever go back to my natural light brown? %26amp; if it does- in how long? because i never shouldve dyed it in the first place.

Well, it'll only go back to your natural color once it all grows out...which will take awhile. Since your hair is really long, it make take a couple years for you to get enough growth to replace the dyed hair. Make sure you eat a balanced diet and drink 8-10 glasses of water per day so you give your hair nutrients to grow. I don't think your hair will ever fade enough for it to go back to the original color.

This is one of those situations when you need the help of a professional colorist at a salon. The more you try to do on your own at home will only damage your hair. At the salon tell them everything you have done to your hair color, attempts at stripping the color, any and all products you use. A professional colorist should be able to get you back to your original color without further damaging your hair.
